Objective

Find and implement new methods for improving the accuracy of data captured off of claim forms for a prominent healthcare provider. Reduce the time and labor efforts needed to process each claim in order to reduce the cost to the client.

Solution

DATAMARK worked in close partnership with this client to implement an Optical Character Recognition solution. In this solution, electronic technology was used to directly recognize data from captured images of the documents. Working together with the client, specialized business rules were developed and implemented for electronic data validation. The net outcome of the solution was an 80% decrease in the amount of data manually captured by data entry operators and a significant increase in the accuracy of the data.

Since the implementation of this first solution, DATAMARK has successfully rolled out similar technology packages for several other projects and clients.
