We interviewed Daniel Morales of DATAMARK, Inc. to get the inside scoop on what attendees at the show were really talking about.
ATA Conference & Exhibition Highlights
- Bill Graves, president of the ATA, likened the industry’s recovery to that of a “the mythological phoenix emerging from the ashes”. Though larger companies were seeing slight upticks in activity and increased load factors for over the road trucks, smaller companies were not seeing the same improvements.
- Compliance with CSA 2010 was a hot topic, including the 7 BASICs:
- Unsafe Driving
- Fatigued Driving
- Driver Fitness
- Controlled Substances & Alcohol
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Cargo Related
- Crash Indicator
- Many people felt that now was a good time to invest in technologies, not only to comply with CSA 2010, but to also make their businesses more efficient and more profitable.
