Bill of Lading
A bill of lading (sometimes referred to as a BOL or B/L) is a document issued by a carrier to a shipper, indicating the specific goods that have been received on board as cargo. The data contained within a bill of lading can be used for both the scheduling and recording of shipments as well as input to carrier EDI transactions.
