Way Bill

A way bill is a document issued by a carrier giving details and instructions relating to the shipment of a consignment of goods. Fields typically captured include: consignor and consignee, origin, destination, route, method of shipment, and the amount charged. Unlike a bill of lading, which includes much of the same information, a way bill is not a document of title.
